[Met in ARR]This lovely dragoon Dorthal Artenia met Aneva outside of Uldah quite a few years ago just as Aneva had left Ishgard and was alone for the first time in a long time. She was horribly excitable and talked at top speed and unlike him, actually knew where Uldah was.
Aneva and Artenia became fast friends, and even faster family. He joined the gladiators guild and became a fighter in the Bloodsands supporting them both until the need for a hero called for Artenia.
As the Scions quickly learned, you couldn't have Artenia without Aneva, she was the heart, but he was the mind. They made up for what the other lacked.
They're an inseparable duo.

Amur Zhelaniye
[Met in Heavensward]Love has never been on the forefront of Aneva's mind, hell, not even crushes really happened for him. Not until getting lost in the snowy landscape of Ishgard where Amur found him, he could've sworn that was the first time he ever truly experienced the warmth of the sun. It was startling how taken he was with them, they were bold and flirty but Aneva struggled to speak around them. More often than not opting for silence or nervously retreating. It was long, slow going, but Amur was kind and patient until eventually they fell in love.
Not everything has been meadows and rainbows, adventuring brings strife, stress and threats neither can control, seeing each other fall in battle far too many times has made Aneva painfully protective of Amur.
They have half of his heart after all.

Nelhra Quowaital
[Met near end of Heavensward]Nelhra and Aneva met on the battlefield, the one place Aneva truly is at his most comfortable. Nelhra being a field medic has seen Aneva at his worst more than most, and frankly, at his boldest. Asking for a miqo's linkpearl while most of his blood was on the ground may not have been his finest moments, but it might be his most memorable! After the fight was done he liked being in Nelhra's space. Many days spending time in silence simply enjoying each other's company. But as the years went on, Aneva only got bolder and Nelhra only got fonder, much to the miqo'te's horror.
Aneva swears it's love, that he has the other half of his heart... The tail flicks and small smiles are more than enough to confirm this.

Kaira Nocti
[Met in Stormblood]Kaira is Aneva's favorite person to hate, she's witty, flat voiced, and hard to read... Just like him. They are each other's worst enemy and best friend. When they're not making snide remarks at one another, they're writing analysis essays back and forth about books that would make a Sharlayan yawn.
She came into his life by surprise when Artenia brought her around as her girlfriend. He was slow to warm up and these days, some people might mistake how they speak to one another as a genuine dislike of one another, however, she's a good friend.
Sometimes, you just have to be a hater.

Ofri Fortemps
[N/A]Ofri is one of Aneva's closest friends, he finds her company enjoyable and she's one of the few people he's asked to model for his sketches and paintings. Whenever he can, he will excitedly let her carry him around so he can see the world from her height. While he is not horribly talkative out loud, he finds comfort in her presence, she accepts his quiet readily and has learned his micro-expressions quickly to understand his unspoken feelings in most settings. She's even gone so far as to learn sign language for Aneva's mute days.

Orthos Qerel
[Met in Heavensward Patches]Orthos was someone Aneva met while on his journey to learning healing, while primarily a warrior Aneva found himself struggling to grasp healing magic in a way that didn't hurt himself. That's when he came upon Orthos, another warrior who was far more well versed in white mage who took his hand and showed him the way that was sustainable and understandable for someone more warrior minded.
Aneva considers him a great friend and one of maybe three people he can spar with completely unhindered. He has a deep respect for Orthos, as a warrior and a person.

[Met in Stormblood]Iko is another friend made alongside Kaira, with her excitable nature, she reminds him very much of Artenia and can't help being fond of her. She has a fondness for little creatures much like he does which absolutely delights him. Every new bird friend she gets is a new bird friend he wants to meet. He loves that he has another person to share his book recommendations with.

U'milah VaiateU'milah is U'ma's first daughter, regretfully, for a good chunk of her life had to be raised by U'ma's sister while he was one the run. They're both extremely close, U'milah taking after her Mom and having sticky fingers and a love for stealth.
U'milah is why U'ma runs though, keeping her hunters eyes on them instead of looking toward the little purple terror who lives with her Auntie.
Once U'ma is no longer on the run, U'milah meets the man who she would soon call dad, A'show. For a time, for the span of when A'show is there and not being the Warrior of Light, they're one big family!
When the end of [Endwalker] comes is when it feels like U'milah is truly the farthest from U'ma.
Little did she know the lengths his dear daughter would go to make their family fall apart at the seams.

[Met Post Heavensward]Meeting A'show was never intended, let alone him being someone who would become so deeply important to them.
For a while, A'show and U'ma ran together as thieves and scammers until the call of heroism dragged her friend away. Over the years U'ma and A'show fought, teased and terrorized until something sparked between the two of them and the most terrifying thing happened... U'ma fell in love. It was a flow and horrifying descent into what she considered a form a madness and yet, she continued to look forward to the days when her A'show cross paths again.
After many long years, A'show and U'ma are happily married and U'ma is falling for his OTHER wife, Eztli as well now that the lock on her heart has been freed thanks to him.

Merlbryda Doenwyn
[Met in ARR]Merlbryda and Randonneur were blessings in disguise, having spent so much of her life on the run, finding two people who understood her tendency to come in and out without being upset was... A relief.
U'ma found protection beside Merlbryda, he found comfort and kindness in the rowdiest of ways. Something to be expected of a former pirate really.
U'ma never saw himself as someone worthy of a found family, not after the choices he's made. He's never felt luckier to have her in his life as a beacon to always come back to when life becomes too much.

˳༄꠶ A BREATH OF FRESH AIR
Randonneur Chemin
[Met in ARR]Randonneur is not the kind of person U'ma associates with, not because there's anything wrong! He's just so incredibly smart and it's a bit intimidating. But, U'ma has found a deep love for the elezen man and will often seek him out to sit and listen to him talk. Gently prompting him to speak on his favorite subject and enjoying the sparkle in his eye as he takes the opportunity to lecture as if he were a professor. He's peaceful. Sometimes, peace is what U'ma needs. She feels lucky to have made a friend like him thanks to Merlbryda and is deeply thankful for the hours spent talking about magic.
